SoDak Genetics Products

South Dakota State University manages a similar program for its varieties, marketed under the SoDak Genetics brand. SoDak Genetics and Roughrider Genetics® have reached an agreement that will allow each organization to offer their respective varieties to each other's Growers.

There are currently three varieties marketed under the SoDak Genetics brand.

SD1091RR

SD1091RR soybeans are a Roundup® herbicide tolerant variety developed by the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station (SDAES) and released in 2000. SD1091RR is classed as a late Group 0 in maturity. Seed quality of SD1091RR is good, with excellent protein and oil content for a Group 0 variety.

SD1092RR

SD1092RR soybean was released in 2005 to SoDak Genetics Seed Associates. SD1092RR is resistant to Glyphosate herbicide. It is a late-group 0.9 in maturity, and has good lodging and shattering resistance.

SD1151RR

SD1151RR soybean was released in 2004 to SoDak Genetics Seed Associates. SD1151RR is resistant to Glyphosate herbicide. It is a mid-group 1.5 in maturity, with good lodging and shattering resistance.
